How can I fix 1% lows and stuttering during big fights after the patch?

I’ve been trying to get my 1% lows under control in the new patch, but no matter what settings I tweak, the stuttering during big fights is still really jarring. I’m wondering if it’s something specific with my CPU’s thread scheduling or if others are seeing this too.

I’ve been chasing these 1% lows in the new patch too. In big fights it feels choppier even when the FPS looks fine. I watched the CPU threads spike and hover, like one core was carrying most of the physics and enemy logic while the others stayed mostly idle. It doesn’t fully explain the stutter, but it hints at uneven scheduling.

I tried loosening some constraints and even toggling core affinity for a test, and the stutter still showed up. Feels like the patch is doing something behind the scenes that ignores the usual tricks.

Maybe it's not the CPU at all. Could be the engine patch or how the game budgets work across threads. I’m not confident, but I didn’t solve it with any single tweak. Is it the patch or a deeper engine change?

I did a quick flip to an older driver and ran a couple of tests. The lows looked a bit better for a session, then it drifted back after a patch reload. Not conclusive, but it makes me wonder if the problem is the patch itself or something in the stack.
