How can I get clean, single-stroke ink lines without erasing?

I've been trying to improve my line confidence by drawing directly with ink, but I keep getting these wobbly, hesitant lines that ruin the whole sketch. How do you get that clean, single-stroke look without being able to erase?

I used to chase a clean single stroke and would freeze the moment I lifted the pen. The wobble came back every time I started worrying about the end result. Lately I just try to let the motion ride out from the shoulder and stop fiddling with grip every few inches; some lines still wobble, but a few feel steadier when I keep moving instead of pausing to check.

I swapped a couple nibs and still got scratchy lines when I pushed too hard. Not sure if it's the tool or me, honestly.

One day I thought maybe the paper texture was the culprit, so I tried a super smooth sheet and a rougher one and the line quality shifted a bit. But then I got back to the same feeling when I tried to draw something real, like the block of a tree or a shadow, and the line wobbled again. I still haven't found a reliable method.

Do you think the problem is speed and confidence, or something else entirely?
