How can I get smooth slow-motion water splash when editing 60fps to 24fps?

I’ve been trying to get a smooth, slow-motion effect on a shot of water splashing, but it keeps looking choppy no matter what I do. I shot it at 60fps and my sequence is 24fps, so I know the frame blending should be handled, but it just doesn’t have that fluid, dreamy quality I see in other edits.

Could be the shutter angle or the way your editor samples motion. Even with the frame rates lined up, some shots just don’t bloom right.

Quick question: are you sure the timeline’s actual playback is really at 24fps in your software? I ran into a mismatch once and it wrecked the motion even when everything else was right.
