How can I keep up with Saga's sprawling plot without losing interest?

I just picked up the new issue of *Saga* and I’m honestly a bit lost with the current storyline. The sheer number of characters and the fragmented way the plot is jumping between worlds is making it hard for me to feel invested in what’s happening to Alana and Hazel right now. Has anyone else felt the narrative is getting a bit too sprawling, or is it just me needing to re-read the last few arcs?

I totally hear you. I felt the same rush of panels and new faces when I opened the issue, and I kept pausing to check who was who. Saga's multiworld setup makes it hard to stay with Alana and Hazel in real time.

I did try re-reading the last few arcs, but it felt more tangled. I started a simple cast list on a napkin—names, loyalties, where they were last seen. It helped a bit, even if I still lost track sometimes.

Maybe it's not you. Maybe the pacing shifted to chase too many threads at once. Do you think the fragmentation is the problem or are the stakes not clear enough?

There was a moment I drifted off and read a page aloud, just to slow myself down, and then the art did a lot of lifting for me. Still, I kept flipping back and forth, which is not ideal.
