How can I make my morning routine stick and stay motivated?
#1
I’ve been trying to build a consistent morning routine for months, but I keep hitting a wall where my motivation just evaporates after a week or two. The initial burst of enthusiasm fades, and I’m back to sleeping in and rushing through my mornings. I’m curious if others have found a way to make that initial discipline stick, turning it into something automatic.

I did a two week log of what I actually did in the morning, not what I wished I did. The days I had a mug of coffee ready and a note by the kettle were the only days I moved through something without feeling rushed. The streak lasted about 9 days before one skipped morning unraveled everything. I kept at it a while, but the momentum didn’t stick.

Sometimes I wonder if the spark is just that, a spark. I tried making it tiny, like two minutes, but I felt I was cheating myself. I still woke early on weekends and slept through weekdays. It felt like one foot in one world and one foot in another. I kept thinking maybe I need to fix sleep, not the plan.

Do you ever feel the real problem isn’t motivation but sleep quality or the wake time itself? I keep checking if I’m actually rested when I get up, and if not, nothing sticks.

I tried a gadget setup and printed reminders by the door. It bought me a week, then I went back to rolling out of bed late. I measured days with any action done and saw it drop from five out of seven to two out of seven fast. It was annoying to admit it but I kept pushing anyway.
