How can I reliably know when my bus will actually arrive?
#1
I’ve been trying to use the bus more often to get downtown, but I keep missing it because the posted schedule at my stop seems completely off. The real-time tracker on my phone is sometimes better, but even that will say the bus is arriving in 2 minutes and then it just... doesn’t show up for another fifteen. Has anyone else had this happen regularly at a specific stop, and did you find a more reliable way to know when it’s actually coming?

Yep, that stop is notorious. I started a tiny log: clock when the app says arriving and when the vehicle actually rolls in. Over two weeks the vehicles were late more often than not, and the headways were all over the place. It helped me see that weekends and mornings are rougher, not just one day.

I did a simple switch to the next nearby stop with a better display and slightly different alignment to the road. The vehicle showed up more reliably there for a week or so, so I started using that when I can.

Sometimes I think the real issue isn’t the stop but the system feeding the tracker. The map will jump around and the numbers feel like guesswork. Still, I keep checking because a few days it lined up.

Have you tried reaching out to the transit desk about this stop?
