How can I stop hitting snooze and keep an early wake-up routine?
#1
I’ve been trying to get up at 5:30 AM to have a quiet hour for myself before the family wakes up, but I keep hitting snooze until 6:30. My intention is solid the night before, but when the alarm goes off, my willpower just evaporates. Has anyone else managed to make this kind of early shift stick, and how did you get past that initial groggy resistance?

I moved the alarm to the far side of the room and added a tiny morning ritual like a big glass of water, a five minute stretch and stepping outside for a breath. It felt rough at first but after about two weeks the snooze habit faded and I started hitting five thirty more often.

I get up and the bed pulls at me hard. I tried dim lights, a gentler routine, and even a brief walk after the alarm but I still snoozed a bunch until my body warmed up. Not clean but some days I barely manage.

Is it possible the real blocker is sleep quality before that hour rather than the alarm itself I wonder When I cut screens an hour before bed and kept a steady bedtime mornings felt easier but I am not sure that is the whole story?

I chased the five thirty goal for five weeks then gave up and eased to a later target and honestly I slept better Not perfect but less frustration.
