How can I tell 4K from HD on Netflix with my new TV?
#1
I finally got a 4K TV and upgraded my Netflix plan, but I’m honestly struggling to tell a huge difference in picture quality on a lot of shows. My internet speed is fine, but some things just don’t pop the way I expected. Has anyone else had this experience with their high-definition streaming?

I hear you I got a big TV and a better plan and a lot of shows still feel like solid HD not cinema level.

I fiddled with the picture modes and turned off some processing and stuck to the same HDMI port but the pop never showed up.

Maybe the issue is the source Netflix uses less data on many titles and some stuff is not shot in true 4K even with a fast connection.

I also wonder if room light and seating distance are fooling my eyes the depth goes away when you sit close to a big screen.

I did a quick test with a known 4K HDR title and the brightness and color looked solid but the wow factor was missing.

Do you think the issue is the content not the screen and are you sure the source is truly HDR?
