How can I tell if ear fullness is from eustachian tube dysfunction?

As someone who enjoys writing manga volume reviews, I'm always trying to improve my approach. Good manga volume reviews should help readers decide if a series is worth their time while also providing insight for those who have already read it.

When you write manga volume reviews, what aspects do you emphasize? Do you focus more on the story, art, character development, or overall impact? I'd love to hear different approaches to creating helpful manga volume reviews.

I’ve had this persistent feeling of pressure in my left ear for about three weeks now, like it’s constantly full or blocked. It’s not painful, but it’s making everything sound muffled on that side, and I can hear a low humming sound when it’s quiet. My doctor mentioned it could be related to eustachian tube dysfunction, but the decongestant he suggested hasn’t really changed anything. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of stubborn ear fullness?

I had something like this after a cold too. Left ear felt stuffed, muffled, and there was a low hum when it was quiet. The decongestant didn’t do much for me either, and it dragged on for a couple of weeks.

I tried steam, saline spray, and a warm towel for a few days. Sometimes it felt like a tiny bit of air moved, but it never fully cleared.

In my case, a quick check showed a bit of wax in the canal. They cleaned it and some relief followed, but it didn’t stay gone for long.

I kept thinking maybe it’s allergy or pressure changes knocking the tube loose, not a big painful issue.

If it sticks around, I’d push for a formal ear/hearing test or an ENT consult, just to rule out anything serious.

Could it be something else like TMJ or neck tension rather than the ear itself?
