How can I turn solid individual play into consistent wins in ranked solo queue?
#1
I’ve been grinding ranked solo queue for a few seasons now, but I keep hitting a wall where my individual performance feels decent, yet I can’t seem to convert that into consistent wins. I’m starting to wonder if my whole approach to climbing the ladder is flawed because I’m treating it like a series of duels instead of a team game.

Ive been there too. I spent a season chasing crisp micro and solo plays, and the wins still felt random. Then I started paying attention to macro and timing—how we pressured objectives, when to fight, when to rotate. It wasnt pretty, but the team started converting more of our chances into objectives and the wins followed.

I kept a tiny log of dragon spawns, baron attempts, and who was calling. The pattern was clear: I was overcommitting when the objective window slammed shut. So I eased off those forced fights and started respecting the map a bit more.

Trying to duo queue gave a little lift, but it also showed how fragile momentum is when one caller goes quiet or one bloke tilts. My own performance didnt vanish, but the wins did because the team mood mattered more than my KDA for that stretch.

Could it be the real problem is how we communicate and tempo shotcalls rather than pure skill?
