How do i know if new crafting patch is worth the grind with lower drop rates?

I just downloaded the latest patch for the game, and I'm trying to figure out if the new crafting recipes are actually worth the time investment. The patch notes mentioned a rework to the material drop rates, but after a few hours of grinding, I'm not sure if I'm just unlucky or if the new system is intentionally stingy.

I’ve run a couple long sessions since the patch. the grind still felt rough and the mats seemed sparse, so I barely hit enough for one recipe after hours.

I tried farming the boosted resource and logged about a stack of mats per hour, which honestly isn’t a great payoff for the time.

One night I wandered into a side quest loop and came back to the crafting UI; it looked different but I couldn’t tell if that helped or not.
