How does adaptive noise control work on earbuds when switching environments?
#1
I just got the new wireless earbuds with the adaptive noise control feature, and I’m finding it a bit jarring when it suddenly switches modes between my quiet office and a noisy street. Has anyone else felt like the transition isn’t as smooth as the reviews made it seem?

Totally. I felt that same jump when I step from a quiet desk to a noisy street. The switch between modes feels abrupt, like a hard cut instead of a fade. I kept hoping the adaptive noise control would smooth it out but it never did.

I fiddled with the app and did a firmware update, hoping the transitions would calm down. It helped a little, but the switch still feels rough when the environment changes fast.

I keep wondering if I’m chasing the wrong problem. Is it possible the real issue isn’t the hardware but how I’m perceiving these quick changes?

On days I don’t need quiet, I just roll with it and pretend the switch is part of the vibe. It’s not ideal, but I’m not sure what else to try right now.
