How should I adjust my build for a fair final boss after this expansion?

I just finished my first playthrough of the new expansion and I'm honestly torn about the final boss fight. The mechanics were visually stunning, but the difficulty spike felt artificial, like it relied too much on one-shot mechanics instead of testing the skill rotation mastery I'd built up the whole campaign. I'm curious if others felt the same way or if I just approached it with the wrong build.

Yeah I felt that too. The visuals for the final boss were insane, but the spike came with a straight one shot window and it wrecked the rhythm I spent hours building. It pulled me out of the rotation groove and left me frustrated.

On my run I kept trying a safer, slower tempo build mid fight and still got clipped by a sweep or a dash that felt unfair after all the planned rotations went clean for so long.

Is the real problem the boss or the pacing at the end? I keep wondering if the game wants a different approach than the one I practiced.

I tried a couple of retries with friends and we swapped roles mid fight, but the hit windows still felt brittle. Not sure if we were reading it wrong or the mechanic is just punitive.
