Is upgrading my F-350 suspension worth it for a smoother ride?

I’m trying to decide if I should upgrade the suspension on my F-350, or if I’m just overthinking the occasional bounce when I’m running empty. The truck handles the 14k gooseneck just fine, but that daily drive to the yard feels a lot rougher than I expected.

I drove it empty and the bounce bothered me more than I expected. I checked tire pressures and even tried a heavier rear spring kit for kicks, but the bounce stayed. I did not pull the trigger on the upgrade and just kept rolling to the yard.

I keep wondering if the problem isn’t the suspension at all. Could it be tires, alignment, or worn bushings? My old rig improved a ton after a proper alignment and newer tires, so I am wary of chasing a fix that isn’t the real one.

I actually did upgrade my suspension once. It helped a lot when towing, but empty it stayed a bit harsh. After a while I decided the payoff wasn’t worth the cost for daily driving, so I stopped there.

Around the yard the ride can feel rough and I swear the road surfaces exaggerate it. Maybe the daily route is the real problem and the goose neck load just hides that.
