Should I drive to work because my bus is unreliable?
#1
I’m trying to figure out if I should just give up on my bus commute and start driving. My usual route has become so unreliable that I’m consistently 20 minutes late, even when I leave extra early. I’m not sure if this is just a temporary schedule shake-up or if the route is being deprioritized for good.

I feel you. My route started acting up a few weeks ago too. I tried leaving earlier, and sometimes the bus still slips, but other days it’s perfectly on time. It’s unpredictable and exhausting.

I did a quick mental cost check—driving might shave off the unpredictability, but you deal with gas, parking, and the stress of traffic. Some mornings you win, other mornings you lose.

I grabbed the keys a couple of times last week and drove. On the bad days I beat the bus, but when traffic piled up I wasted 20 or 30 minutes and arrived tense.

Do you think the problem is the route itself or the way the schedule is being prioritized?
