Should i go with 3.73 or 4.10 gear ratio for my F-350 towing a 14k lb trailer?

I’m trying to decide between a 3.73 and a 4.10 rear end for my new F-350 that I’ll be using mostly for towing a 14k lb equipment trailer. I keep reading about gear ratios but I’m worried the 4.10 will make the engine scream on the highway even when I’m empty.

Had a 4.10 in a near‑clone F350 and pulled a 14k trailer. On the highway empty you could hear the engine sit at higher revs and it felt a bit buzzy around typical cruising speeds. When towing the weight it pulled with less throttle, but the revs stayed higher than I’m used to with a lighter setup. The upside was the climbing torque, the downside was the extra road noise when empty.

Is the real problem the engine speed or something else like trailer setup, aero, or how the load is distributed and brakes are worn?

I swapped to the 3.73 and towed the same load, and it honestly felt more willing to get moving from a stop, but the highway cruise was noticeably quieter and the engine sat at lower revs. Empty it felt nice and relaxed; with the trailer it wasn’t a slam dunk either way, just different tradeoffs in how it felt at peak torque and where the RPMs sit.

I started out chasing the right ratio because I assumed that would fix everything, then got sidetracked by tire choices and hitch height, which actually changed how the load behaved more than the gears did. Not sure if this helps, but it kept me from blaming the box entirely.
