Should I keep leaning to peek around corners in VR shooters, or is it just me?

I’ve been playing a lot of VR shooters lately and I keep finding myself physically leaning around corners to peek, even though I know the game’s tracking only cares about my headset and controllers. It feels completely natural in the moment, but it doesn’t actually give me any advantage. Does anyone else do this, or am I just weirdly committed to the simulation?

Yep I do this too. The urge to lean around corners in VR feels natural, even when I know the tracking doesn’t care about my torso. It’s like a peek you’d do in real life, almost part of the simulation.

I started counting peeks per round. Not scientific, just rough gut check. I notice more peeks when I’m low on ammo or hearing footsteps. The habit sticks even when it doesn’t help.

Sometimes I chalk it up to old VR reflexes from jittery tracking days. The motion is mostly cosmetic now, but the reflex fights back and I end up leaning anyway.

Do you think the real issue is the level design and how cover works, or is it just a stubborn human reflex we’re trying to train away?
