Should i pick corpo or street kid in cyberpunk with phantom liberty expansion?
#1
I just finished the main story of Cyberpunk 2077 and I'm completely torn on whether to start a new playthrough immediately or finally dive into the Phantom Liberty expansion. I loved my street kid run, but I keep wondering if a corpo or nomad start would fundamentally change how those early missions feel, especially with the new storyline integrated.

Finished the main story not long ago and did a Corpo save right after to see the contrast. The early gigs felt tighter, with more emphasis on company politics and briefing rooms than the street chaos I loved as a Street Kid. The dialogue choices pushed you toward different factions even in the same mission, which changed how I read the city’s risks. I kept finding myself skimming the random chatter for hints rather than blasting through.

Phantom Liberty hung on my mind when I played a second time, and I realized the expansion reshapes how the city behaves even in old missions. It adds new lines, new gear, and a sense that Night City keeps evolving, which makes jumping back in after a fresh start feel like stepping into a newer chapter.

Do you think the real problem is wanting the old vibe more than the new content?

After beating the game, I started a new run just to test a Nomad vibe and bailed after a handful of hours because the prologue didn’t click as much as I hoped. I kept thinking about how much I liked the old route’s pacing, but then I realized I might be chasing a memory rather than a fresh experience.
