Should i pursue comptia security+ certification with help desk experience?

I’m trying to decide if it’s worth pursuing the CompTIA Security+ certification right now, as I have about two years of general help desk experience. I’m worried it might be too broad since I haven’t focused on security tasks specifically, and I’m not sure if employers would see it as practical without that hands-on background.
