Should I switch to the on-demand shuttle for my odd work hours?

I’m trying to figure out if I should start using the new on-demand shuttle service in my neighborhood instead of the regular bus. It seems convenient for my odd work hours, but I’m not sure how reliable it really is or if the wait times are actually shorter than the fixed schedule.

I tried it last Friday around 11 pm. The app showed a 5–7 minute wait, and the shuttle arrived in about 6 minutes. The ride was smooth enough and the driver was friendly. It felt decent for those late hours, but I wasn't sure how it handles peak times.

In the afternoon I used it again and it did a little detour to grab a couple more riders on the way. I ended up waiting about 12 minutes and the total trip took longer than the usual bus even though it was supposed to be on-demand. It was quiet and clean, though.

I haven't pinned down a pattern yet. I set an alert for late nights and sometimes it shows a short ETA, sometimes it goes long. It seems to depend on how many people are in the area.

Do you plan to use it more for just a few days, or as a regular replacement for the bus? I ask because for me it felt more useful when I needed a ride outside the bus schedule, but not always faster.
