Should we add a spotlight/featured threads section to preserve great posts?

I keep noticing that some of the most interesting discussions here seem to just vanish after a few days, getting buried under newer posts. I’m wondering if we should have a dedicated space for highlighting or preserving the best threads, maybe a monthly spotlight section. It feels like we’re losing some real gems.

I’ve noticed that too. Some of the best exchanges drift away once the feed moves on. A monthly spotlight could give those threads a second life, and it would feel rewarding to see people revisit ideas that still spark conversations.

We did experiment with a simple tag system once, but it felt easy to ignore and the tag pages got cluttered. A dedicated space would need to be obvious and lightweight, maybe a digest or a pinned monthly roundup. If it’s just a page people forget to check, it won’t help. I’d trust a straightforward archive or a rotating feature on the homepage more than complex filters.

I’m not convinced it fixes the problem. Sometimes the value is buried in a thread’s later comments, not in the opening post. If we archive or highlight, we risk privileging the loudest voices over quieter but deeper threads.

Would this actually work, or would it just reward whoever gets the most comments that month?
