Should we publicly share supplier audit results to build trust?

I’m trying to decide if we should start publicly sharing our supplier audit results to build more trust. I’m just worried it might backfire if people focus on one minor non-conformance instead of the overall positive picture of our supply chain integrity.

We tried sharing some audit results with a few customers and it did build trust over time. Still one retailer zeroed in on a tiny non conformance and asked for extra steps, which made the big picture feel crowded.

We published a short high level summary of our supplier audit results and kept the detailed data behind a login. Inquiries increased and a handful of buyers praised the transparency, but some asked for more context on risk controls.

Could the real issue be not trust but how people react to one issue? Maybe the data will be used to score us on a moment in time rather than show steady improvement.

I ran a small pilot with three suppliers and tracked inquiries and repeat orders for eight weeks. The trend was steady but the louder reactions came from a few customers who wanted more detail not less.
