What are quick, whole foods snacks to beat an afternoon energy crash?
#1
I’ve been trying to eat more whole foods and cut out processed stuff, but I’m really struggling with what to do about my afternoon energy crash. I usually grab a granola bar or something sweet, which I know isn’t great, but I’m not sure what a better, satisfying option would be that’s actually convenient.

I used to grab a granola bar at 3 pm, so I know that habit. I swapped it for a handful of almonds and a piece of fruit, and the fat and fiber kept me full longer without that sugar crash.

I started packing plain Greek yogurt with berries and a few walnuts. Takes a minute to prep the night before, and I can grab it from the fridge without a mess.

I like a crunchy vibe with carrots and hummus; sometimes I’ll add a little cheese or a boiled egg for extra protein, and it holds me over without feeling heavy.

I keep thinking maybe the whole thing is about water and a little sleep rather than the snack itself. I try to drink a glass of water and stretch a minute before choosing something. Do you think your issues might be more about routine than the snack?
