What are the best comfort settings for Quest 3 movement in Contractors?
#1
I just got a Quest 3 and I’m trying to figure out the best way to handle movement in a shooter like Contractors. Using smooth locomotion makes me feel queasy after about twenty minutes, but teleporting breaks the flow of a firefight. Has anyone found a good middle ground or specific comfort settings that worked for them?

I’m on Quest 3 too. Smooth locomotion makes me queasy after about twenty minutes. I landed on a middle ground: move with smooth locomotion for short bursts, then a quick blink to a new spot. I kept snap turning around 45 degrees for quick reorientation. It’s not perfect, but I feel the firefight flows better without the nausea.

Feels like I’m chasing a compromise that never lands. I tried lowering acceleration and easing into it, but the nausea still sneaks in if I push too long. Sometimes I think I’m just sensitive to VR motion.

Two weeks ago I capped sessions at twenty minutes, used short movement bursts, and relied on quick blinks for longer moves. In that rhythm the fights felt clearer and I didn’t crash into nausea after the session.

Do you think the real problem is the movement option or something else?
