What can I change to grow my audience for educational art videos?
#1
I’ve been trying to build a consistent audience for my educational art videos, but I’m hitting a wall where my growth has completely stalled. I’m not sure if my content is just too niche now or if I’m missing something fundamental about how the algorithm surfaces my work to new viewers.

Yeah I get that stall. I kept posting weekly for eight months and the comments dried up even as views stayed flat. I tried tweaking thumbnails and opening lines but nothing moved the needle, feels like the math changed and I’m not invited to the party.

I did a dozen shorts in a row with faster cuts and bigger captions, watched the audience retention drop and then bounce back a little when I slowed down again. It’s a tug of war with what I think helps vs what the data says, and the numbers aren’t telling a clear story.

Maybe the real issue isn’t the content at all but that my niche is saturated and the new viewers don’t land neatly into my topic.

Some days I tried a different format and saw a tiny spike that faded fast. I thought about collaborations or ditching the strict schedule, but I never stuck with it long enough to know.
