What can I do if my printer won't connect via WPS after router change?
#1
I just got a new router and my old printer won’t connect to the Wi-Fi anymore. I’ve tried the WPS button method a few times, but it just times out every single attempt.

Yep, same story here; the printer blips at the screen and the WPS timer just runs out again.

I tried typing the Wi-Fi password on the printer, but it kept failing at the network key step.

I wonder if the router's security is too new for the old printer, maybe it won't recognize it.

I finally forced 2.4 GHz only mode and turned off the extra bands for a moment, and the printer showed up on the network.

Could be a flaky NIC or just stubborn firmware—whatever it is, I feel stuck.

Could the real problem be the printer itself rather than the router?
