What can I do to refresh my Instagram feed without making a new account?

I’ve noticed my Instagram feed feels completely stale, showing me the same types of posts from the same handful of accounts for weeks. Has anyone else had this happen and found a way to actually refresh what the algorithm serves you without just making a brand new account?

I tried a little reset: followed a couple new creators in different spaces, kept liking things outside my usual bubble, and hit Not Interested on the repeats. It took a week or two, but the feed started mixing in new stuff. The algorithm seemed stubborn at first, but it loosened up a bit.

Not much luck here yet. I logged out, cleared cache, rebooted the phone, and even checked the app permissions, but the feed still leaned on the same few accounts. It feels stuck.

Maybe the real issue is that you’re still chasing the same topics. Have you tried deliberately saving posts from totally different niches in Explore and then letting the feed catch up?

Sometimes I think the problem is me not engaging with newer creators quickly enough. I started a small experiment: for two days I ignored my favorites and tapped into random posts from hashtags I never use. The first day nothing changed, the second day the mix nudged a bit, but not a big shift. I gave up and went back to the usual.
