What could cause my car to pull right when I take my hands off the wheel?

I’ve noticed my car pulls to the right whenever I take my hands off the wheel for a second, but the tires are properly inflated and the alignment was checked last year. I’m not sure if this is just normal road crown or if something’s starting to wear out in the steering or suspension.

I had something similar a few years ago. It would drift a bit to the right when I relaxed my grip for a second. Tires were fine and the alignment passed, but a shop found a loose tie rod end and a worn inner joint. Replacing those and rechecking alignment fixed it.

Another angle is wheel balance or a cupped tire. If one tire is more worn on the inside or outside, it can grab a direction even if the numbers look okay on the rack. I checked tread and rotation and saw a slight bias in wear once, that seemed to correlate with the pull.

I've also wondered about road crown versus a real steering issue. On a rough crown the car will track with the road, but if you feel a pull that stays when you try in a few lanes, that might be more than crown. It helps to test in a straight, flat stretch and see if the pull is the same with different tires swapped front to back.

Does it pull at all speeds or only at certain speeds?
