What did you think of the post-apocalyptic fishing in Salt-Worn Knights?

I just finished The Last Stand of the Salt-Worn Knights, and I'm left wondering if the whole "post-apocalyptic fishing" thing actually worked. The atmosphere was incredible, but I spent half the game just trying to figure out if my rod was in the right spot, and it started to feel more like a chore than an adventure.

I just finished it too and the salt-worn mood lands hard. The atmosphere is killer, but the fishing sequences dragged on in a way that felt more like a routine than an adventure. I kept telling myself to push through, but my mind kept wandering to other things happening off screen.

I did try moving the rod to a few spots, jotted a quick timer in my head, and watched the progress ring creep forward, but it still felt more mechanical than meaningful.

Was the pacing the real point, or was I just bad at the fishing minigame?

I did have one small moment of magic when the wind shifted and the sound crackled over the water, and for a second it felt aligned with the story. Then back to square one.
