What did you think of the space horror trailer, exciting but too predictable?

I just saw the new trailer for that space horror movie and I’m honestly torn. The practical effects look incredible and genuinely scary, but I’m worried the plot is just going to be another predictable “monster picks off the crew” story. Has anyone else watched it and felt that same mix of excitement and dread?

I watched it too. The practical effects are gnarly and the ship interiors look tactile, like you could reach out and touch the metal. Still, I keep thinking the plot might go where most space horrors go—build up tension and then a predictable monster vs crew showdown.

A friend and I rewound the trailer a couple times just to study one of the early jump scares. It felt grounded in real props and lighting, but the pacing in the middle seemed like a series of tropes rather than a throughline.

I'm torn but curious enough to see it. The sound design and claustrophobic corridors gave me chills, and I want a story that makes the threat feel environmental rather than just a creature.

Is the real problem that the marketing is selling dread more than character, though? If the crew stuff isn’t there in the first act, I’m not sure the film can deliver the payoff even with great effects.
