What do you think about the Twister sequel's tone and effects?

I just saw the trailer for the new *Twister* sequel, and I’m honestly torn. The original is a classic to me, but this new one looks so different in tone with its modern effects and bigger cast. I’m not sure if that’s a good evolution for the story or if it’s going to lose the raw, simple feel that made the first one work.

I rewatched the first one last weekend before the trailer dropped. The way it kept the storm human, the simple setup, that stuck with me. The new teaser feels slick and crowded, like they want a bigger scale, which is cool, but I worry it might loosen that tight focus on the crew.

The effects look flashy and the cast is bigger. I felt nostalgia tugged in, plus a rush to see the storm up there on the screen. I’m torn because I like big visuals, but I fear the core tension won’t land if the characters get buried.

Is the real problem the scale or the storytelling? Sometimes a bigger cast makes it harder to give people a moment to breathe. I wish there were a few quiet scenes like the original had.

If I had to guess, they'd do better doubling down on the crew dynamics and pruning subplots that don’t tie to the weather. But maybe they’ll surprise me and the scale actually serves the emotion.
