What explains my sudden interest in elections abroad?
#1
I keep noticing my search history is full of questions about local elections in other countries, like mayoral races in South Korea or parliamentary results in Chile. I don't know why I'm doing this, but it feels like I'm trying to piece together a global mood from these scattered data points.

I end up doing the same thing, stacking tiny election stories from different places. It feels like trying to read weather patterns from a bunch of little signals.

Honestly I'm not sure what I'm after. I tell myself it's context, but it often just makes me think in circles and question my own biases.

Last month I saved a bunch of Chile and Korea articles, then the feed kept nudging me toward more. I even tried setting aside time to read without clicking, barely helped.

Do you think this is about global mood, or is there something else tugging you there?
