What makes that smooth dance clip hypnotic, the music or the move?

I keep seeing this one clip of a guy dancing with a weirdly smooth stride everywhere, and now my friends and I can't agree on what makes it so hypnotic to watch. Is it the specific song it's set to, or is there something about that gliding movement itself that just works?

From my own watching, the song does a lot of the lifting but the glide itself sells it. When the beat sits in a tight pocket, the long smooth stride reads as effortless even if you’re off beat a bit.

I tried to copy it in my living room and kept wobbling. The key I noticed is keeping a steady weight shift, soft knees, and letting one foot roll into the next without forcing it.

Sometimes I wonder if the camera and framing are doing half the work; a hallway makes the glide look endless.

I guess it's not just the move but the breath between moves, the little pauses that let the eye catch the rhythm.

If you slowed the clip to half speed, would the hypnotic feel still be there or vanish?
