What moment in Bocchi the Rock made you face your social anxiety?
#1
I finally got around to watching *Bocchi the Rock!* and now I’m just sitting here feeling weirdly called out by a fictional character. I’ve played guitar alone in my room for years but the sheer, visceral panic Bocchi goes through trying to even talk to a potential bandmate hit way too close to home. Has anyone else had a show make you confront your own social anxiety this directly?

I felt the same after a scene where someone freezes talking to a potential bandmate. I’ve played guitar alone for years, and that moment hit me in the gut.

I tried to join a local jam once and stood in the doorway for a minute, counted five breaths, and walked back to my car. Felt like a total failure, but I learned I wasn’t ready yet.

Sometimes I think the issue isn’t the nerves themselves but whether I actually want to be around people who share what I’m doing, not just talk about it.

Do you think the show is naming a real problem here or is it just dramatizing nerves for drama?
