I just saw a video of a guy trying to return a half-eaten rotisserie chicken to a store, claiming it was “under-seasoned,” and the whole thing blew up online. I’m stuck wondering if this is just a weirdly specific performance for views or if people actually do this kind of thing for real.

I watched that clip and it felt more performance than real complaint, the way the camera kept cutting to the store manager and the dramatic pause.

I actually tried returning an opened rotisserie chicken once because it was undercooked, and they refused; I learned stores don’t want to process opened items even if there is a legit issue.

Policies do vary a ton between chains, some will offer a replacement or refund if there’s a clear quality problem, others act like opened goods are out of scope.
