What should I do about dry mouth and headaches on blood pressure meds?
#1
I’ve been taking my new blood pressure medication for about three weeks now, and I keep waking up with a really dry mouth and a bit of a headache. I’m not sure if this is just my body adjusting or if it’s something I should be more concerned about.

I started a blood pressure med a few weeks ago and woke up with a dry mouth and a dull headache for a few mornings. It faded a little after I started drinking extra water and using a humidifier at night, but it kept coming back some days.

One thing I did was call the pharmacist, and they told me to monitor it and to check if I was on a diuretic or something that could worsen dehydration. I didn't change the dose myself.

I'm not sure if it's the med or just my sleep environment; I switched to decaf coffee and kept a water bottle by the bed; headaches still show up when I wake up, sometimes.

If it keeps up, should I call the clinic or is this something I can wait on?
