What should I do if my home blood pressure stays in stage 1 hypertension?
#1
I’ve been trying to manage my blood pressure with diet and exercise, but my recent readings at home are still consistently in the stage 1 hypertension range. I’m a bit confused because I feel fine otherwise, and I’m not sure when this home monitoring should actually prompt a call to my doctor’s office.

I tried cutting salt and adding a daily walk and yet the home numbers stayed in the low to mid 130s over 80s I feel normal so it is easy to doubt the readings or the worry

Over a week I logged morning and evening numbers and they hovered around 132 84 to 134 86

Should I call the doctor now or wait for a few more days to see if it drops?

Sometimes I wonder if the real problem is anxiety about numbers more than the numbers themselves I step outside for a minute and breathe and then I check again and it improves a bit not sure if that matters for the long run
