What should I do with my PS4 Pro after upgrading to PS5?
#1
I just got a PS5 and I'm trying to decide what to do with my old PS4 Pro. It still works perfectly, but I'm not sure if it's worth keeping hooked up as a secondary console in another room, or if I should just pack it away. I'm curious what others in a similar spot ended up doing with their previous-gen hardware when they upgraded.

I kept my PS4 Pro in a guest room for a while. It was nice to have a second couch setup for local co op and for streaming while the main living room TV got claimed. The drive still handles discs, and it saved a few trips to the other room when friends dropped by. After a while it started collecting dust, but it felt like cheap insurance in case the new machine hiccuped. I finally left it plugged in just in case and then the cable spaghetti pushed me to decide.

I shoved it in a closet the moment the PS5 showed up. For months it was invisible, then I ran into a need for a recovery option after a crash and remembered it existed, but it was far away. It mostly just collected dust and tangled cables.

I ended up selling it locally. The buyer showed up, I threw in a couple extra cables, and that was that.

Do you actually use the second setup much or is it just habit to keep it connected?
