What should I play after Disco Elysium to scratch that RPG/detective void?

I just finished my first playthrough of Disco Elysium and I’m honestly a bit lost on what to play next. That game’s unique blend of pure role-playing and detective work has completely rewired my expectations, and now everything in my library feels either too combat-focused or too straightforward. Has anyone else had a game leave this kind of a void afterwards?

That exact thing happened to me soon after I finished Disco Elysium. The world felt a bit off and I did not want more combat or loot chases. I just wanted that density of dialogue and the weight of a choice.

I tried a quieter route by picking up an indie narrative game with heavy writing and slow pacing. It helped a little but I kept comparing to the detective vibe from that long run of thought heavy scenes.

Are you hoping for more of the same vibe or are you looking for a different energy like open world exploration or puzzle light mechanics?

I ended up keeping a small notebook of what I missed and what felt fresh which helped me reset expectations a bit though it didnt fix the void entirely.
