What VR shooter on Quest 3 has realistic gun handling and tactical firefights?

I just got a Quest 3 and I'm trying to find a good shooter, but everything feels either too arcadey or like a generic wave defense. I want something where the gun handling and reloading feels truly deliberate and the firefights have some tactical weight to them, but I'm not sure what to look for or if that even exists yet in VR.

I’ve tried Onward and Pavlov on Quest. Onward nails that deliberate feel—the reloads and mag changes aren’t just button taps, you feel the delay and the chambering. Pavlov can go punchy, but there are weapon choices that still give you a weighty, slower rhythm if you focus on the right guns and settings.

I’m with you on the vibe. Some titles just pretend guns are press buttons. I can tell when a game is dialing in the physics and when it’s phoning it in by the way the slide cycles or the ejected shell sounds. When it’s legit, even a mediocre map feels more tactical because every action has consequence.

Sometimes I notice my wrist gets tired first, not the screen. The headset strap digs in and I start blaming the game while I adjust the fit. It’s silly, but it changes how the gun feels when you actually try to reload under pressure, so it matters.

Do you care more about realism in the reloads and weapon handling or the pace and feel of the firefights?
