When do brief vertigo spells happen while turning in bed?

I’ve been getting this weird, sudden feeling of spinning even when I’m completely still, and it’s starting to worry me. It only lasts for a few seconds, but it happens when I just turn my head or roll over in bed. Has anyone else experienced these brief episodes of vertigo?

That sounds familiar. I’ve had a couple of those brief spins too, like the room tilting for a moment when I turned my head in bed. It only lasted a few seconds, but it scared me at the time. It felt like vertigo in the moment.

For me, it showed up after a long day staring at screens and then moving to bed. I drank water, waited a minute, and it faded. I read about BPPV and inner ear stuff, but I didn’t want to push it with a doctor unless it came back.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s really the spinning or just anxiety and neck tension catching up. Once I woke up with a stiff neck from a bad pillow and it spun for a few seconds after turning, then faded. It drifted in and out and I forgot about it for a while.
