Where's the line for prank videos that upset people?
#1
Has anyone else felt weirdly uncomfortable watching that video of the guy getting pranked in the coffee shop that's everywhere right now? I know it's supposed to be funny, but the look on his face just seemed genuinely upset, and now the whole internet is laughing at his reaction. It makes me wonder where the line is for this kind of content.

That moment gave me a weird knot in the stomach too. It’s supposed to be funny, but his face looked like real panic, not a punchline. Part of me wants to laugh, the other part tenses up and wonders where the line is.

I watched a bit and had to pause. I’m not sure if it was staged or just bad timing, but the crowd’s laughter felt sharper than the setup deserves.

Is the real issue the prank itself or the audience's laughter at someone else's distress?

I tried to pull back from this stuff, turned off autoplay for a while, and muted comments on the clip when it popped up. It helped a bit to not be fed more of the same without thinking about it.
