Why am i feeling left out in my long-time Discord server?
#1
I’ve been in a tight-knit Discord server for about two years, and lately I feel like I’m just a background character. My messages get lost in the fast chat, and inside jokes form without me. It’s starting to feel less like a community and more like I’m just watching a show everyone else is starring in. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of social drift in a group that used to feel like home?

I know that feeling. I was in a tight server for a couple years and suddenly my messages felt like background noise during fast chats. It hurts when inside jokes pass me by and I’m just watching everyone else star in the same show.

I tried carving out a few one on one chats and even started a tiny weekly check in thread. It helped a bit, but the buzz of the main channel never came back the way it used to.
