Why do the same actors keep winning awards year after year?
#1
I just realized I’ve been watching the same five or six actors win the big awards year after year. It feels like the same names get nominated for every major film festival and then sweep the season. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just paying attention to the wrong ceremonies?

Yeah, I’ve noticed too. It feels like the same handful of names keep winning or being nominated year after year, no real left-field surprises.

I started tracking it last season just out of curiosity. The same five or six faces kept popping up across the big festivals and the televised wins—like a loop.

Part of me wonders if it's about how campaigns, PR, and visibility tilt things more than any true popularity contest. Still, watching the same names win loses some of the thrill.

Is the real problem that the industry keeps funding a small pool of stars for prestige projects, or is the setup of the awards season the thing shaping all of this?
