Why does my social feed keep looping high school posts and brands?

I’ve noticed my feed is just a loop of people I went to high school with and brands now. I don’t really post anymore, but I still scroll out of habit. Has anyone else felt their main account become sort of pointless?

I tried muting a bunch of accounts and unfollowing a few brands for a week. The feed got quieter, and I maybe scrolled half as much, but then the old rhythm snapped back.

I posted something small once and the reaction was so quiet I second guessed if sharing was ever worth it.
