Why is my aio pump making a constant hum and how do i quiet it?

I’m trying to get my new build to run quieter, but my AIO cooler pump seems to be making a constant low hum I can’t get rid of. I’ve tried adjusting the curve in the BIOS and even reseating the unit, but that steady background noise is still there when everything else is quiet.

I had a similar hum on an AIO pump. I swapped to soft rubber anti vibration pads under the pump and made sure the bracket wasn vibrating against the case. The noise dropped a lot after that.

I forced the pump to a fixed speed around 60 percent and disabled the auto PWM curve in BIOS, so it didn hunt at idle. The hum got quieter once the pump wasn ramping at low loads.

Could the real problem be something else like a fan or case panel vibrating? Do you think the pump is the actual source, or could there be resonance elsewhere?

I drifted for a while and even moved the radiator to a different side of the case and added foam around the mounting points. It helped reduce the perceived noise, even if the pump itself didn disappear.
