Why is my dry cough linked to bronchial hyperresponsiveness in cold air?

I've been a member of various anime forums over the years, and they all have different atmospheres and strengths. Some anime forums foster great discussions while others can be less engaging.

When you're evaluating anime forums to join or participate in, what qualities do you look for? Is it the moderation, community size, discussion quality, or something else? What makes certain anime forums stand out to you?

I’ve had this persistent dry cough for months now, and my doctor mentioned it might be a form of bronchial hyperresponsiveness. I’m just confused because it flares up even when I don’t feel like I have a cold, like after a short walk in the cool air. Has anyone else experienced this specific kind of reaction?

Yep, I get a dry cough after a chilly walk too. It tends to pop up as soon as I come back inside and the air starts warming up.

A friend had something similar and was told it could be exercise induced bronchoconstriction, which is a form of bronchial hyperresponsiveness.

Maybe it’s postnasal drip or throat dryness, not sure if that means it’s an asthma thing.

I tried slowing my pace on walks and sipping water after; it helped a bit but the cough stuck around.

In a dry spell I started using a humidifier at night and noticed the cough felt a bit less harsh, even when I went outside.

I kept a simple log for a month: cold air, early morning runs, and when I took allergy meds; patterns helped me talk to a clinician.

Honestly I’m not sure this is the real problem and I keep wondering if I’m overthinking it, but I’d still bring it up with the doctor.
