Why is my Instagram feed so dead and full of ads, not personal posts?

I’ve noticed my Instagram feed feels completely dead lately, like I’m just scrolling through the same ads and recommended posts from people I don’t know. I miss seeing what my actual friends are up to, but it seems like everyone just stopped posting personal stuff. Has anyone else’s feed become this weird, impersonal space?

Yep, my Instagram feed feels the same. It used to mix friends with everyday updates, now it's mostly ads and suggested posts.
