Why should i bother a second playthrough to catch the missed faction ending?

I just finished my first playthrough of the new RPG everyone's talking about, and I'm honestly torn on whether I should bother with a second run. The main story felt pretty linear, but I keep hearing there's a whole faction I completely missed that changes the ending. I'm just not sure if seeing one new questline is worth another 40-hour commitment.

I just wrapped my first run too and yeah the main thread felt pretty linear. I wandered into the faction stuff later and it shook up a few conversations and a boss encounter, which was a neat change of pace. Still, 40 hours for one extra questline is a lot to commit if you’re not chasing a different ending.

I dove into a second playthrough with that faction arc and it did add some new mechanics and a couple of different party options. The pacing got weird in spots, and I kept getting pulled into side mysteries I thought would matter but then didn’t. I probably clocked around 25 hours and I didn’t finish everything, so I’m not sure it’s worth it for everyone.

Might burnout be the real problem here rather than the content? I chased that faction for a while and it felt like a slog between neat ideas and long stretches.

Short and honest: I started the second run, got halfway through the faction stuff, and decided to walk away because I didn’t feel I was getting enough value for the time. If you’re busy, it might be better to wait and see if a patch or sale changes your read on it.
