Why won't my laptop see the wireless printer during setup?

I’m trying to set up a new wireless printer, but my laptop just won’t see it during the installation wizard. The printer’s own network test page shows it’s connected to the Wi-Fi, so I’m not sure what step I’m missing here.

That exact thing happened to me last month The printer showed as online on its page but the laptop wizard would not discover it I think both devices were not on the same network I tried moving the laptop onto the main Wi Fi and tried again It finally showed up

I tried rebooting the router and the laptop After a long day it did not help I kept thinking it was a driver issue or a hiccup in the install wizard The truth is I am not sure

I grabbed the USB cable and tried a wired setup as a fallback It felt clumsy but at least I could finish something Then I left the wireless part for later and ended up not revisiting it for a while

Maybe this is not the real problem Could the issue be something else like a hidden setting in the laptop or the network having client isolation The thought keeps wandering back to the same symptom?
